"Purr & Mutt has a nicely laid-out website for browsing the many options. We’ve mentioned that the many options can make the task of deciding on a product a little overwhelming, but it’s still fun to browse. The website is organized and easy to navigate through the many options that include: shop by theme, collections, and shop by product type."

We’ve also worked with the wonderful Olivia Attwood on this project who is a huge dog lover and mum to two rescue pups. You’ll spot a Valentine’s Day card available to purchase below that has been dedicated to one of her dogs, Lola. What a cutie!

It’s time to hang up your picture of course!
We know that this can be the most tedious and frustrating stage, so in case you’re a little nervous about going freehand with a hammer, the Purr & Mutt team have put together a handy guide to help you hang your new portrait purrfectly.
Step 1: Choose the perfect spot.
Arguably, the most important step. Where are you going to proudly hang your bespoke print? Is it the first thing you want your guests to see in the corridor when they walk into your house? Or is it going pride-of-place above the mantlepiece? Perhaps in the downstairs loo? Wherever you choose, make sure there’s enough space around it and that you can hang at a good height.
Step 2: Make your mark.
Once you’ve found the perfect spot, take a pencil (not a pen!) and make a tiny cross where you’d like the nail to go in. That way, you know it’s going to be hung exactly where you want it.
Step 3: Nailed it.
It’s time to get to work! Grab your nail and carefully place it over your pencil-drawn ‘X’. Keep your fingers as close to the wall as possible. Now, (responsible adults only please!), grab your hammer and gently tap the nail until it is firmly in the wall. The trick is to take your time – go too fast and you might end up bending the nail, or worse, creating a nasty big hole in your wall!
Step 4: The moment of truth.
Now you’ve popped on your hook, you’re ready to hang your portrait! Carefully place the string onto the hook and voila! It’s best to grab a family member or friend for this part, to check that the picture is straight. Two pairs of eyes are always better than one! Or, if you want to be super precise, why not use a spirit level to see if the bubble is in the middle?
Bish, bash bosh, job done.
]]>So, ahead of firework season, we wanted to share some of our top tips to help you and your fury friends stay safe and stress free during this frightening time!
The first action to take when the dreaded fireworks start is to make sure all your curtains are closed, and windows are shut! Pets are very noise sensitive, by shutting all windows the noise from fireworks will be reduced. Closing the curtains is another helpful tip as sometimes the bright flashing lights can be threatening and distressing for your pets. Don’t let animals outside during firework time so make sure to let them out before it gets dark – and make sure to bring bunnies inside.
Making sure that your pets feel as relaxed as possible is another very important action to take. Try finding the quietest room in the house for them to take cover but make sure not to trap them as they can become stressed. Dogs, for example, may not want to be confined to a particular room so let them roam free and find where is comfortable for them. Try making a den out of their favourite blankets, with all their favourite toys!
A playlist of calming music will help keep your pets relaxed as it will block out some of the unwanted noise. Even having the TV on louder as a bit of background noise will help distract your pets and cover up the unwanted noise.
What better way to cheer up your fury friends than a selection of all their favourite treats and toys? Whether it’s a loud squeaky toy or a tasty treat, your pets are bound to be distracted by a selection of their favourite things. Dental sticks work well for dogs as a distraction as they are very time consuming!
Lastly, make sure to comfort your pets with lots of cuddles and belly tickles. Keeping close to your pets when they are distressed will help reduce their levels of anxiety and make them feel a lot safer. Seeing their besties relaxed will help them to feel the same, so make sure you stay calm and don’t stress.
Follow these five tips to ensure that Bonfire Night is enjoyable for everyone - including your little companion!

Calling all pet-parents! Are you convinced you own the UK’s messiest mutt? We want to honour the owner of the nation’s naughtiest pet with a free personalised print. Because who doesn’t love a mucky pup?
Here at Purr & Mutt, we love all kinds of pets, no matter how big or small, well-behaved or cheeky. In fact, the cheekier the better, we say! Which is why we’re launching our competition to track down the messiest pet in the UK.
And we’re not going to be biased here, we want to see submissions from all kinds of creatures – whether you’ve got a bold bunny that’s always causing havoc, or a headstrong hamster that just loves to get into mischief.
So, if you think your pet is worthy of the Nation’s Messiest Pet title, then head over to our competition page from Monday 13th September 2021 and submit your entry.
All you need to do is snap a photo of your best furry friend amongst their chaos, upload it to our website, and tell us why you think your pet is the messiest in the land. We’d also love to hear your pet’s name and age.

Adorned with medals and a really classic feeling to the artwork, this is definitely one of our favourites! As usual, the design is available in A5,A4 and A3 sizes with framing options and Lord Nelson is also available on Canvas.
So why not treat yourself (or your aspiring furry Admiral) and order yours today?
]]>We love the darker tones on this design as it really does feel like something that you could hang up as wall art and just admire as if it was a real oil painting. As usual, the design can be purchased on print in A5,A4 and A3 with framing options, and it's also available on canvas.
Hopefully you're liking the designs that we're putting out there :)
